The following 4 survey activity types allow learners to practicing their speaking and/or listening skills for collecting career related information about different characters/people. Activities are available for a vide variety of different group/class sizes, ranging from activities for just 2 participants to activities that can collectively completed by as many as 50 participants.

Survey activities are ideal for helping teachers save time. Most require a very minimal amount of preparation time, usually just the time it takes to print out the provided survey sheets.

For a less dynamic, but more structured environment, this activity will allow students to take turns asking a variety of simple questions about 18 people's career preferences.
