How To Play

Groups: This game is best played in pairs of two participants. One partner will describe the robot shown on a Robot Card and the other partner will attempted to construct a match robot based on the description.

Materials:

  1. One set of 20 Monster Body-Part Tiles (4 x 5 pages)
  2. One set of 18 Monster Body-Part Cards (9 x 2 pages)

Time / Game Round: 1-3 minutes

Gameplay Process:

  • The GOAL of this game is for Partner One to assemble a finished monster composed of 4 tiles by asking Partner Two a series of questions about the monster on their "secret" Monster Body-Parts Card.

  • Partner Two draws a Monster Body-Part Card randomly from the provided set of 18 cards. They must not show the card to Partner One

  • Partner One allows Partner Two a series of questions that allows Partner One to systematically narrow down the correct tiles needed to compose a monster that looks the same as the monster on the "secret card" held by Partner Two.
  • After Partner One has finished constructing a monster, Partner Two reviews their "secret card" and the two partners can compare it to the monster composed of Monster Body-Part Tiles to check for accuracy.

  • This game works best if Partner Two cannot see what Partner One is doing. This will prevent Partner Two from being tempted to try to help by adding physical gestures to his or her verbal instructions or reacting to mistakes made by Partner One.

  • After completing a round, the two partners can switch roles and the new Partner Two can draw a new "secret" Monster Card randomly from the deck.
