Card Backs for Easy Sorting To play deduction card games, the asker needs a full set of cards to systematically deduce down to one remaining card. The answerer will also need an identical set of cards to draw a "secret card" from. |
Therefore, you'll need at least two identical copies of every set of deduction cards that you use in your lessons. Obviously, it would be a huge inconvenience if any of the identical sets of cards were to get mixed up with each other. To avoid this, use the card backs below to make each set unique. While the card fronts may be identical, by using a different Card Back Option for each identical set of cards, it'll be simple to distinguish one set from another. This will ensure super easy sorting if any card sets did end up accidentally getting mixed up with each other. |
If you haven't printed and used one of our deduction card games before, see our instructions page for a more detailed explanation. |

Using a card-back file to make double-sided cards is easy!
Just print the cards on one side and then flip the sheet over, re-insert it into the printer feed-tray, and then print your choice of the 1-page PDFs (below) on the other side.
Note: Remember to print both sides before cutting out the 9 cards on the sheet.

Printers don't usually feed paper (and sheets of cardstock) perfectly. This is pretty common, even with very expensive printshop printers. Therefore, the 8 available card-back PDF pages all have a significant (extra) bleed area that goes nearly from page-edge to page-edge.

The space between the blue and orange dashed lines on the three pages above is the extra bleed area. The thickness of this bleed area ensures that even if the printer feeds your paper/cardstock imperfectly, both sides of your playing cards will still look great!
